Daughter of L. K. Dutta, a retired Wing Commander, Lara Dutta did have her own set of troubles when she dreamt of tasting success at a very young age. At the age of 16, she shifted her base to Mumbai from Bangalore to fulfill her dream. Her determination got a boost when she made it at the Miss Gladrags competition as the winner, which further gave her an opportunity to represent India at Miss Intercontinental. Life couldn't have been far more rewarding for this dusky beauty, proving that hard work always reaps benefits. She went on to win the Femina Miss India Universe crown and then further achieved more limelight by winning the Miss Universe in 2000 in Cyprus.
Lara Dutta finally made her mark in the Bollywood industry with much-acclaimed movie, Andaaz, in 2003 and her journey of hard work again started here. Entering Bollywood without any godfather for support is always testing troublesome water. But Lara Dutta, as she is known to fight hard for achieving success, got her share of rewards by bagging some successful projects under her belt. Some of her successful movies include Masti, No Entry, Partner and Bhagam Bhag. She was also part of the runaway comedy, Partner, which did very well at the box office.
